Max, from DOS to Windows, to ERP
A product journey
Max in the 1990s

UX design
Max for Windows

What started out as a DOS product, soon became a PC-based powerhouse for manufacturers looking for alternatives to high-priced midi computers and with the launch of Microsoft Windows, Max from Micro-MRP was renamed, Max for Windows.
With the advent of Netscape Navigator, work began on the first browser-based system manager, it began as a simple HTML text interface.
Following the acquisition of Micro-MRP by Kewill and the launch of the new brand and web assets created in partnership with Razorfish, the visual style and assets were used as the basis for the next iteration of the Max System Manager.

Rebranded
Max for Windows from
Exact Software
When Exact Software acquired Max from Kewill, I was asked to redesign the new system manager and apply the Exact Software branding.
Eventually, I was hired as the Senior Marketing Manager reporting Mark Bayer, the VP of Marketing and Sales for the Max product line. We launched SEO and SEM campaigns, developed a new demo platform, launched email marketing targeting former Micro-MRP and Kewill customers who continued to use the original products and created print media campaigns to appear in manufacturing trade publications.
